Terrace by the water
The terrace of De Eetkamer is right on the water on the Nering, with a view of the canal and the boats passing by. The terrace is covered with stretch tents and when it is cool there are sheepskins on the chairs.
If you arrive by boat, you moor nearby and walk straight onto the terrace. Dogs are welcome on the terrace; there is always a bowl of water ready.

Inside
Inside De Eetkamer
Inside you sit under wooden beams, among green walls and wicker lamps. There are seating areas with yellow velvet chairs and pendant lamps. From the floor by the bar, Babbels keeps an eye on things, the owners’ chocolate-brown Labrador.

About De Eetkamer
The business of Dean and Jolanda
Dean and Jolanda felt that the hospitality trade in Giethoorn was getting a bit dated. They wanted a place where you can have breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a drink, and started De Eetkamer van Giethoorn by the water on the Nering.
The idea is a relaxed place where you can eat and drink without fuss. The staff take time for a chat and the chefs cook the dishes from the menu fresh.
